The Gilbert and Sullivan Company of El Paso's Artistic Director, Brittney M. Williams, invites singers/actors to audition for its 57th anniversary production of “The Gondoliers or the King of Barataria”. It is the twelfth of Gilbert and Sullivan's fourteen operettas and one of the most popular. The Gondoliers tells the story of two Venetian brothers and their auspicious ascent to the throne of Barataria...and the royal capers, mistaken identities and romantic entanglements that ensue. There are nine male lead or demi-lead roles and eight female lead or demi-lead roles in the operetta.
This is a wonderful opportunity for singers/actors to perform in a lead role! Come join our cast! We welcome all music skill levels. If you like to sing, join us!

Auditions are on a first come, first serve basis.
Performances will be late July 2026 in El Paso and early August 2026 in Las Cruces. Rehearsals are 7pm Tuesday and Thursday, and 2:30pm Sunday at Grace Presbyterian Church. This is a great opportunity for local singers or actors. If you are creative, can sew or can help with props or building set, we would also like to hear from you. Students that participate in the production are eligible to apply for the Joan P. Quarm Scholarship Fund annual competition. See the attached flyer for additional information.
