The Gilbert and Sullivan Company of El Paso is happy to return to the stage this summer!
We will host auditions for this summer’s production of H.M.S. Pinafore, on Tuesday June 1st and Thursday June 3rd at 7 p.m. at the El Paso Art Association, 500 W. Paisano 2nd Floor President’s Gallery.
All roles are open for casting including principals, demi-leads, and chorus. People may sing a capella (unaccompanied), with a CD, mp3, pre-recorded song or an accompanist will be provided (bring a copy of the music for the accompanist). Auditions are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Performances will be in late July and early August in El Paso and Las Cruces. Rehearsals are 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 2:30 p.m at the El Paso Art Association. This is a great opportunity for local singers and actors. If you are creative, can sew or can help with props or building sets, we would also like to hear from you.
Students that participate in the production are eligible to apply for the Joan P. Quarm Scholarship Fund annual competition.
Parking for El Paso Arts Association is available on the street in front of the building as well as the parking lot on the east side of the building on Paisano.
Disclaimer: Rehearsals and performances will involve singing and acting within close proximity of other performers. (Vaccinations highly encouraged)
